CIRG, Mathura is going to organize training on “Hands-on Training on Semen Freezing and Artificial Insemination in Goats”  from 10th to 16th July 2018.

This training is meant and useful for,

  • Researchers
  • Teachers & Officers of State Development Departments
  • Veterinary officers working in various State Departments of Animal Husbandry in India and various stakeholders working in the field of Artificial Insemination (AI)
  • AI inseminator

It will help to improve the professional competence and job performance of field functionaries work for goat development. The module will impart the desired knowledge and skills to the field functionaries with regard to AI in goat and overall development of livestock owners, professionals and all those involved in this sector.

The course objectives will be achieved through a combination of presentations, practical exercises and group discussions. It will particularly focus on:

  1. Establishment of AI Laboratory
  2. Anatomy and Physiology of male and female reproductive tract.
  3. Farm management for breeding does and buck
  4. Estrous synchronization, heat detection and ovulation synchronization
  5. Semen collection, preparation of AV, dilutors
  6. Basics of goat semen freezing
  7. Artificial Insemination techniques and its uses
  8. Preventive measure to control disease transmitted through semen
  9. Ultrasonography in goat
  10. Economics of AI
